03-07 Silverado Tow Mirror Installation

These mirrors enhance visibility and safety while towing, featuring built-in heating, turn signals, and reverse lights. Follow these steps to successfully install the mirrors and connect the wiring.

Step 1: Unbox the Tow Mirrors

• Carefully open the box containing the tow mirrors.
• Check that the mirrors include:
  • Built-in heating
  • Turn signal function
  • Reverse light function
  • Extension capability
  • Switchback sequential turn signals
• Familiarize yourself with the wiring:
  • Two factory plugs (for heating and mirror movement)
  • Additional three wires (blue for running light, white for reverse light, gray as ground)

Step 2: Remove the Door Panel

You will need the following tools:

• Panel popper

• 7mm socket

• T20 Torx bit

• Begin at the back edge of the door:

  • Gently pop off the plastic cover.

• Remove the door lock slider.

• Locate and remove two 7mm screws:

Running Lights Connection

• The blue wire connects to the running light:
  • Use a fuse tap for connection to a 10 amp fuse that powers on with the key.

Reverse Light Connection

• The white wire connects to the reverse light:
  • Locate the brown plug in the driver's footwell junction box.
  • Find the light green wire and use a red butt connector to connect the white wire from the mirror.

Turn Signal Connection (if applicable)

• If your truck doesn't have turn signals in the mirrors, extend the red and yellow wires from the blue plug:
