How to Execute the Descaling Procedure for LELIT Coffee Machines

Overview: In this tutorial, we will guide you through the step-by-step process of descaling LELIT coffee machines such as Anna, Anita, Grace, Victoria, and Kate. Descaling is essential to remove mineral deposits and ensure the optimal performance of your coffee machine.

Materials Needed:

• LELIT resin filter
• PULY descaler espresso liquid
• Damp cloth
• Fresh water

Step 1: Prepare for Descaling

1. Turn off the coffee machine.
2. Remove the resin water softener.
3. Insert the LELIT resin filter in the designated tube.

Step 2: Prepare the Descale Solution

1. For models Kate, Victoria, and Grace, set the pre-infusion OFF from the LCC display.
2. Fill the water tank with 400 ml of fresh water.
3. Add one bottle of PULY descaler espresso liquid to the water.
4. Mix the water and descaler thoroughly.

Step 3: Descaling Process

1. Turn ON the coffee machine.
2. Keep a damp cloth handy to clean any splashes immediately.
3. Remove the filter holder.
4. Place a container under the machine group and withdraw water for 30 seconds.
5. Wait for 30 seconds.
6. Repeat the water withdrawal process and waiting for 30 seconds.
7. Place another container under the steam wand and withdraw water for 30 seconds.
8. Press the necessary buttons and open the steam tab.
9. Close the steam tab to stop the water flow.
10. Wait for 30 seconds.
11. Repeat the water withdrawal and waiting process until the descaling solution is used up.
12. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill it with fresh water.

Step 4: Post-Descaling

1. Clean the coffee machine with a damp cloth to prevent damage.
2. Repeat the water withdrawal and waiting process with fresh water until at least two tanks are used up.
3. Insert a new LELIT resin filter according to the instructions provided.

Step 5: Final Checks

1. Look for air bubbles from the filter to ensure proper installation.
2. Verify that the resin filter is correctly placed in the designated tube for the water charger.
3. Follow any additional descaling procedures outlined in the LELIT instructions for further maintenance.
